Just watching the last round and saw Bill Haas miss a short putt and go ballistic kicking his bag. Have never done anything silly myself but a mate of mine threw his putter after missing a short one and it got stuck in a tree – very funny. Do you have a story to share?

Played with a guy who after the last threw his ball in the air and hit it with his putter like a baseball shot.

Was playing with a particularly aggressive player, he was flinging his driver around and bent it on his cart that he had parked illegally.
I will break 90 this year. It is NOT my age. It is NOT for 9 Once again I am the reserve moderator ( officially unofficial ) after stink if he decides to come back. |

I have seen two different people wack thier bags with putters after a bad hole, get to the next tee and pull out half a driver! That always makes me laugh! Also, at Kooyonga a few years ago (when they were redoing the clubhouse) a mate who I have never seen get angry blew up on the 16th green, threw his putter and it got stuck in a tree! Lucky there were workers around, he went and borrowed a large ladder plus the flagstick to get it down. First and last time he has ever thrown a club!

A mate of mine threw his 3 wood in the piss last weekend, and unfortunately it didn’t sink as there was a fair bit of weed on top.

Guy I played with cracked after what must have been he’s 8th hook shot in about 5 holes and just swung a club into his bag. After that he played quite well and it wasn’t until about the 16th when he checked phone and found it in pieces.

Yeah I’ve lost a mobile phone to golf rage when I whacked my bag after an errant shot during a horror round.

I too have paid the price for a rage attack on my bag. I was playing a fairly easy par 3, which I missed the green and became so annoyed, I whacked the side of the bag with the 7 iron before shoving it in the bag. So the next par 5 I’ve hit a drive good enough to have a crack at the green with my second shot and I’ve reached into my bag and pulled out my now 2 piece 3wood!!! I’ve not hit nor thrown another club since…...It’s too expensive!!

Haas looked pathetic doing it, previously cultured image of cleanskin now gone, one rash moment to let yourself go will hurt him for a year or more.

I’ve seen only three occurrences in recent years: 1) A group let us play through on the 10th tee. They were devising ways of getting a driver down from some pretty high branches in a nearby tree 2) Friend of mine whacked his solid metal rental pull buggy with his wedge. Head broke off clean. 3) recent comp round playing partner duffs his second chip in a row, smashes his stand bag, plays rest of round with stand bag that only has one leg.

Haha Max…. One-legged stand bag made me laugh.
