Best value membership ? Which Sunshine Coast course ?

3 of us are looking to tie into a membership this year and we asked at twin waters but they won’t do a deal.
Cost is about 6 grand.
1200 fee and 780 first year and 780 per year on year after.
We like it there, not overly impressed by some aspects of the pre/post game offerings and sometimes gets congested.
Caloundra is closest but pro shop has been less than friendly at times otherwise, not a bad track.
Beerwah is favourite pre/post game as its quite laid back but gets congested at times too.
Noosa is my favourite by a country mile, love the shop , staff are always 100% , bar service and 19th hole is sublime ! Couldnt recommend the place highly enough to anyone but too far for the quicky games you might want as a member and possibly too pricey for my pocket.
Coolum Hyatt is great too but again, distance and cost are inhibiting.
Buderim is too hilly and prefer parklands courses.
Pelican waters is decent but had problems there in the past with quality of greens, bunkers but otherwise, like the location.

What do you look for in a course and where would you say is offering good value for money on the sunny coast ?
Our needs/wants…
Closeness to caloundra/kawana area
Facilities for partners (occasional use)
Bar facilities, love a beer after and some bench racing.
Friendliness of service.
Quality of course.

Are we too fussy ?

I’ve tried seeing things from your point of view but I can’t get my head that far up my arse !!

I have played A few of them. Have not played Caloundra. Of the rest going by what you are saying I would have to say Beerwah.
Played there a few times & always been very welcome.

Beerwah by a long shot.
Club Pro is a good bloke and always makes you feel welcome, bar good but arn’t they all?
Beers cold.
Course good and getting better every year.

Yeah, the people there are decent, course is a bit scruffy compared to the others but like the place in general and I believe it’s cheap.
Problem, we’ve been spoiling ourselves with the likes of the Hyatt, noosa springs, twin waters, acidic Harbour (ball tearer of a course)

Anyone know prices of these courses ?

So you didn’t check out Horton Park?

Been a while since I was on the sunny coast but will never forget to AVOID Nambour golf club!

What about Mt Coolum golf club (not the palmer/hyat)? It used to be good.

No. Didn’t like it much last time I played there.
Like the pro shop though but course is a bit hemmed in.
