In May last year, iseekgolf.com favourite Ewan Porter announced that he was quitting golf, and got a lot of publicity for it. Well there are rumours all over town that the great man is planning a return to the Web.com Tour this year, less than seven months after he told us he was done with the game.

Is this just a cheap stunt to generate some publicity for a paperback edition of his book? Or is it instead a fair dinkum Mal Meninga in reverse?

I think he is ‘Mal Maningaring’ himself as we type.

Who cares. He is like any one of us. Needs to make a living. Probably has a better perspective on life and who he is. So let him get on with his life. KW. Would you tell us who you really are so we can understand why you are on the Ewan witchhunt?

News is fine if there is a legitimate source, in this case there is not as of yet plus the tone on the said news is an attack if we all remember the other Ewan threads that he was attacked on various fronts by the same posters.

If the news is correct then yes we want hear about it and yes great to have him back in the game. He won’t be back here though to discuss it with us again unfortunately.

I believe KW and EP have never been seen in the same room at the same time?????

Online book sales may have given him a 3 month buffer “roll the dice ” again see how we go opportunity.

If he’s serious this time I hope he has help with his scheduling, budgeting and partying etc…..

He has to answer one question to himself though…..”Am I playing to scrape through and make a living or am I really passionate about the game?”

Either or I doubt there will be takers for a sequel to his first go at helping up and comers with the perils of pro golf etc etc…,,

But in all seriousness, if I had the talent to play on any tour and recieve sponsors equipment and ‘work’ by playing golf I’d make sure I firstly checked incase someone on a chat forum thought it was ok.
