Guys – can anyone recommend a good value full membership in Brisbane or within say 45mins of the city, could possibly look at taking in somewhere on the gold coast or sunshine coast but would have to be a great deal. Looking to play around 5 or 6 times a fortnight (handy work roster this year).

Nudgee, Keperra or Virginia are all pretty good on North Side of town. Which side of Brisbane are you based? What is your budget?

North side, hadnt heard of Keperra, will take a look. probably consider all up to $1500

Wantima, Matt. I am a member there. It is at Brendale. If you want an introductory look, let me know.

Likewise Matt, I’m at keperra and have mates at Nudgee and Virginia. Let me know if you want a look. Keperra is at Mitchelton, probably closest to the city if working in CBD. Good track.

Cheers guys, Virginia / Nudgee are closest to home for me, Wantima looks a bit far out unfortunately. Decisions decisions….Virginia v Nudgee.

Virginia 18 holes plus a little 9 hole track Nudgee. 36 holes. Find out about accessibility on the days you want to play most.

Matt, I recently went through the same exercise and tried them all out before eventually joining North Lakes.

Thanks FredFunk – will keep it in mind, the longer drive to get there will probably not win me over though.

I used to be at Virginia, Matt. It is a good course and the pro staff are good.

Hey Matt. Tough decision. I went through this 9 years ago and also settled on North Lakes purely for the quality of the course. I live at North Lakes so it makes it an easier decision but plenty of the members I play with come from inner north Brisbane. Straight up the Gateway about 20 – 30 mins. Big advantage is that you get to play every Sat very easily and the booking sheets are usually easy to find a spot mid week (except during a corporate day). Memberhsip is roughly $2,500 pa and includes green fees and carts. Sat comp fee is $10. Certainly worth having a look at. Cheers
