Yep, Olesen has come out of the blocks strong. Hitting those “crap” clubs well.
Justin Rose appears to be about to lose his dark horse tag.
|
|
Olesen best young Euro outside Rors. Will win soon, Rors will miss Titleist wedges. The nike ones not nearly as much spin.
Broomsticks, Trevor Chappell and Lance Armstrong love theirs. |

Rather than 4 weeks of solid practice before his next tourney, it appears Rory subscribes to the “all work and no play …” philosophy. His latest Facebook post, “Not a bad view to wake up to! Looking forward to the next few days in the Alps with Caroline Wozniacki”

At last he’s being kind of honest about the transition at the Honda Classic McIlroy, the defending champion who first moved to No. 1 in the world with his victory here a year ago, said he’s still not comfortable with his new equipment and in turn his swing.
|
|
Typical journalistic licence. [Brian] Wacker by name, ‘wacker’ by nature. At no stage in that interview did McIlroy refer to his equipment. Talk about gilding the lilly …

Uh oh. This is going to get interesting. I feel for the guy. I really do. The pressure he must be feeling to keep the wolves at bay must be enormous. I hope he gets back on track and soon.

Your signature says it all bushy. He should have withdrawn before the start of play if his tooth was an issue.

A copy of Rory’s statement.

Me too Bushy. Typical of most these days he’s big into social media with Facebook & Twitter. I was reading comments last night to one of his FB posts & it seemed like every 3rd response was some smart-arse comment about his clubs. I’m sure that crap (if read) can get a person down. I saw the other day that Megan Fox closed her Twitter account because of the trolls & haters. IMO engaging in social media can be a double edged sword.

Yeah I kind of agree Raz. Perhaps thinking he could play thorough it and make the cut and get a full event in was his thinking. There’s really no excuse for a WD except for something serious. I know it won’t happen but it’d be nice if the media got off his case for a bit. You never know could throw in girl trouble into the mix of swing flaw, microscopic pressure, equipment teething problems and the like, big stuff for a 23yo to handle. I hope he sorts it out soon.

It comes with the territory, bushy. These players are paid for their name to sell products. Nike Marketing Staff must be thinking about rehab or their stock options.:-)

Totally agree with that. Nike would be having fits right now.

this sets an awesome example, i might start walking off after i wipe a few holes on the front nine as well, hopefully a bunch of kids follow him on this to if you’re not winning, quit kids!

Maybe Caroline was waiting in the hot tub for him? Easy decision…

He’ll work it out, just going to take a bit of time. Someone on here suggested that changing clubs when he’s just had the best year of his life and reached number 1 in the world was likely to set him back…who was that? Dumb logic if ever I’ve heard it
|
|
Are you sure of your logic, based on his performances thus far it would seem spot on logic. Poor form walking off, I am sure if he was 4 under in the round rather than about to go 9 over he would have managed to keep playing. He should learn what to say to journalists, honesty is ok but when you tell them you are not in a good head space and then suddenly it moves from a mental to a dental issue, not real smart. I hope he learns from this and it never happens again. He is a fantastic player and will be back, just a matter of how long.
Play it as it lies, get on with it, its not life or death, its just a game! |

Can use Covert Drivers toolkit for extracting wisdom teeth.Bowdo played like Faldo today 2 birdies, 1 bogey well done.
Broomsticks, Trevor Chappell and Lance Armstrong love theirs. |

The toolkit could have been used to get his foot out of his mouth.

Perhaps it’s less a wisdom tooth issue & more a “wisdom tooth-fairy” issue? Known to drain all of one’s energy …
|
|
Caroline Wozniacki, suffered what Reuters termed “one of her worst career defeats” by losing to 186th-ranked Qiang Wang two days earlier. In a mental pursuit like golf – and, apparently, tennis – relationship troubles can affect the final result a lot more than a toothache.

Rory will survive it. A similar thing happened to Bobby Jones at St. Andrews with the exception of the toothy excuse. Now Rory will have to get his wisdom tooth or the one beside it extracted, sooner than later.

tough times Rory might have a vegimite sandwich for dinner tonight because hes so broke!! and then have to drink some cheap piss and try to get laid with some ugly thing hang on sec what am I saying?.... I mean people sheez Johnny miller made a point – walking off wasnt good that said… TIGER has done the same thing 3 or 4 times for mystery injuries widom tooth…most people’ wisdom teeth dont come thru untill youre 30 ish – some are earlier…hmmm??? no mention of it before the tournament or after his 70 in the first round That said the nike move has meant a change If I was him I would have (hidsight a wonderful thing) said to Titleist and Oakley – hey Nike are chasing me with this much coin….I know you guys probabaly cant get near it but if you can get somewhere in the ball park I will stay rory is young too lets not forget that – I dont think its healthy to be obssessed with professional sport at that age – we have seen many an athlete (oddly many of them sponsored by NIKE) go off the rails they demand a lot from thier athletes…yes they give you 20 million a year but they demand a lot we have seen Jordan Barkley woods all have major issues in thier life after being with NIke….TerryHenry also lets hope he doesent become another nike victim oh Lance was sponsored by Nike also read the history of Nike and youll see the kind of stuff they get up to…the pressure from them is intense on thier athelets
Golf is only a game…Yeah right who are you kidding? |
|
Dave, are you saying that this guy is behind Nike?
|
|
Lol…But how many flawed athletes are in nikes stable…lol
Golf is only a game…Yeah right who are you kidding? |
