http://www.iseekgolf.com/go... Some helpful items in the golf pshcology section. Remember also it’s a game and meant to be fun. I’ve recently asked the wife to also purchase a ‘luke the duck’ headcover from challenge. (kids cancer) I’d also appologise to the wife…...unless she was caddying ;)

Andy, you need to take a good hard look at yourself and your actions today. Golf IS a game, to be played for fun. In saying that I will admit to being angrier than ever on a golf course back in the day. You gotta learn to laugh at yourself and enjoy the good with the bad. I won’t even go into the possibilities of losing your license, killing a kid or the domestic violence possibilities which could end your arse in jail, oops I just did…. One thing I promise you, if you keep up this behaviour you won’t be married for long.
The greatest game ever played. |

Hhmmmm, surely he’s taking the piss, yea?? If not, time for a straight jacket dude!! And possibly a paded cell!!
grooveless, the only way to play golf…… now a ’groove-snob’, and never going back!! :) |

When you put the clubs in the car that’s a trigger you can use to move on from the bad round. If you have a good day let the wife know but the days you play badly or are unhappy with your self also let the wife know but try to avoid using alcohol as a crutch. It’s hard to say and do but try to laugh off the bad day or accept that sometimes we just play crap.

Thanks guys, I’m a nice guy and hardly ever act like this, I love my wife she is the best thing that’s happened to me, it just gets to me when I have a bad round because I know I can do better. I guess just like my golf game I have to work on my post game attitude.

Troll. Bad attempt at that as well.

It was absolutely stupid of me to get behind the wheel, I’m upset at myself for what I did and I pray to god ill be stronger next time and won’t let a bad round of golf dictate what I do.

The …... Was that I chucked her roast dinner in the bin after she chucked my clubs, I would never hurt her or any human being for that matter.

Admitting your faults doesn’t exonerate you from being called a fuckstain.

Sorry for asking for advice from fellow golfers….

Sounds like the bad day at golf is just the trigger. There will be other ‘issues’ need addressing, and if you are serious, and have posted this- that is a positive. The next step is to get some professional help, or at the very least call a good mate/family member and have a chat… pick the one that isn’t going to knock some sense into you- cause I know that if I told that episode to a few of my mates they’d flatten me for good measure.

Shouldn’t be apologising to us champ….

You did hurt her, just as much as if you hit her, if that’s how you behave after a bad game of golf you have a serious problem. My bad games stay at the course, I drive home straight away and say game was not good today dear, better luck tomorrow is the answer, problem solved untill next time. If you really love your wife you should think of giving it away for a while and completely rethink your approach to the game, otherwise you stand a chance of harming her and yourself I had a friend in martial arts that used to have night mares if he lost a tournament it cost him his marriage big time, they were arguing about it and he hit her, he said he loved her but it did not stop the blow. Your description of the incident is abuse just as if you had been physical. I wish you the best but please talk to someone, you are a disaster waiting to happen.

Thanks, that’s one of the main reasons I posted it on here, I’d feel kind of embarrassed and ashamed talking to a good mate about this. I know this isn’t healthy and something has to change and change quick, i think your right about the professional, Thankyou

PS. If I treated my wife like that I would sleep with one eye open, nothing is as dangerous as a woman scorned.

I’ve had mates who have had depression and issues and needed help… the first step is always talking about it. Admitting that something is wrong. Forums might be easier to post on… than face-to-face, so if it serves the purpose of bettering the situation then all is good. It wouldn’t be my first choice to seek deep and meaningiful life advice… but when we are at our lowest we don’t always think straight.

jme hit it on the head. You want advice, well here it is. SEEK PROFESSIONAL HELP, because what you have outlined is way passed normal responsive attitude. I am leaning toward the; This is a load of crap being posted to gee us up side of the coin. Nobody of sane mind could be that much of an aresehole. But on the off chance that it is in fact fair dinkum well then:- You my friend, if what you say is true about the end result of a bad round of golf, (ummm we all have them) have some serious issues. If what you state is true and it led to alcohol and a time of solitude followed by an abusive process at someone you claim to love dearly and care about immensely, are a ticking bomb and the sooner you get the fuse taken out the better. The round you describe, I would be more than happy with.
The key to success is to learn to do something right, then do it right every time. Oh I wish….. Now a two time winner of the treasured WBT. |

Because if you don’t you are going to find yourself in some really deep, deep shit.
