Has anyone done the course? Looks interesting.

For those that dont know its the system behind the predictive line you see on tv when golfers are putting.

Hinosapra,
Not sure from memeory it’s around $220. You spend half a day learning about green reading and they give you the aimpoint charts etc to useand keep.
It’s worth the investment and will help your green reading dramatically.
Justin Rose had been struggling with his putter for a long time until this year he did aimpoint. Stacey Lewis her sucess on the LPGA tour has been from improvement gains with her putting and doing aimpoint.
It is great value for money the knowledge you do gain from attending their clinics. I reckon it was the best $220 I had ever invested in my golf.

Havent done it but many who have think its brilliant.

$220? Thats 3 30min lessons or so. If it picks me up a few strokes seems well worth it.

Jamie the UK rep will be here in Mid Jab for 2 weeks. Bris and Melb main stops but will look at other venues and teachers that they can train to do the program in the future.

I’ve also done the Aimpoint clinic (same one as Zen).

I found it to be very useful in terms of viewing greens and looking at slopes in a whole new way.

Prior to Aimpoint, I had no real understanding of greens, and once I’d get on one, I’d just begin using my eyes and having a guess at the amount of expected break on a putt.

These days after doing the Clinic, I start my green reading as I approach the green, and once on them, use my feet and my balance a lot more, in order to work out the slope ( which is something I never knew was possible prior to Aimpoint.)

The actual Aimpoint Charts work, but it takes an ongoing commitment to use them, and you still have to putt the ball on line … and at the right pace .. in order to get them to drop in the hole.

In general though, Aimpoint, and what I discovered during the clinic, can take a lot of the guess work out, particularly on greens where the break isn’t quite so obvious at times …. that’s when using the feet as I learnt …... really comes into its own.

I have already need to confirm a few things and a venue for them out there. Let me know if you have any pros that may want to host?

How much extra time are we talking about to read the greens?
I wouldn’t want to be holding up the group behind and cause a back log.

Burswood Golf would be the best practice green IMO. How do I go about convincing them to let Aimpoint use their venue?

You are having to learn a new process in reading greens. You use your feet more than your eyes, sounds funny but it would make sense when you do the course.

It takes you a couple minutes longer initially which you can practice off the course, then start doing while playing.

It becomes second nature over time so not any added time then.

I get it – once you have worked out your line you make your putt at the appropriate pace. If the ball doesn’t drop, you tap or kick it in with your foot. Not sure if that’s legal but I’ll give it a try.
Thanks Madam.

If you can check with the pro and have them email me- or chekc with Wembley.

Im waiting confirmation from Aimpoint first to make sure they can make over to that side of the country.

Would the golf course be getting any incentives for letting Aimpoint use their facilities? Just wondering as they will likely ask how they will benefit from allowing Aimpoint to run their course there.. will await your confirmation before approaching them.

I would assume from what has been said that if there are any teachers that want to teach aim point there would be a benefit in having them over.

So if there’s a pro that says “yeah I’d like to become a trainer of aim point” then that is the person that can host it.
