Greg Norman withdraws from the Australian PGA Championship

Greg Norman has withdrawn from the Australian PGA Championship presented by Coca-Cola sighting illness.

Norman teed off on the 10th hole at the Palmer Coolum Resort and posted bogeys on the 10th and 11th before withdrawing due to food poisoning.

His group of Stuart Appleby and Jake Higginbottom will now continue the round as a two ball.

PS: Wonder if he had dinner with Jeff?

Not a huge fan of the Shark fwiw,but have no doubt that he was as crook as the proverbial K9.Discussed with someone who really does know the facts and he was very sick yesterday and still sick this morning.

My observations of day two at Palmer Coolum Golf Club

1. The dinosaur is the first thing you see after you come through the front gate.
2. There was an old old car parked between the 1st green and second tee.
3.There are yellow and red signs around the joint, giving the impression of a car yard sale.
4. The PGA are sick bastards….. Allenby AND Ogilvy in the SAME group.
5. Senden has a pure swing in real life
6. Craig Parry CAN still play a great game of golf even after the concern of fellow golfers on this site.
7. Peter Lonard is massive across the shoulders.
8. Poor Brett Rumford had a couple of holes he would rather forget.
9. The greens and golf course were in spectacular shape and condition.
10. Didn’t run into Yarn/Razzar Superintendent.
11. Clive has pictures of himself and famous peeps hanging off the wall in Ned Kelly’s ( restaurant ).
12. Walking out when Clive’s helicopter landed on old first tee and out popped Mrs Palmer by herself with some shopping bags.

You didn’t mention Robert Allenby’s girlfriend.Surely you couldn’t possibly have missed her!
