I’m here now and a lot of pissed off people, even
Before this According to my Holiday appt managers Clive is not popular in town and now this but life goes on and it’s going to
Turn in to just a normal tourism week for them from now on.
Budget of $5 mil are they serious where does it all go and only $1.2 in prize money how much have they payed Rory and Darren to come out

Embarrassing….we must be the laughing stock of the golfing world…if its not unplayable greens…..like a few years back….it’s Clive Palmers circus up there…..Dinasours on course and local rules whereby pro’s can drop from rectangular advertising painted signs on fairways…....this is our PGA tourney…...WOW

It is beyond words.
It feels like it April fools.

He kept his word Dino did not speak.

I will break 90 this year.

It is NOT my age.

It is NOT for 9

Once again I am the reserve moderator ( officially unofficial ) after stink if he decides to come back.

Q. WHERE WILL THE AUS PGA BE PLAYED NEXT YEAR
A – The easiest way to answer that is that it will definitely be played in Qld, it won’t be here …

Anyone have thoughts about a Qld course that could match Coolum as a venue & facilities?

Sanctuary Cove- home of Qld PGA ;)
Royal Pines

Cant say it would match the experience perfectly but could have the infrastructure to hold and no dinos!

In any case it’s certainly leaving the Sunny Coast:thanks to Clive imho.

Talk about a classless clown. Clive – if you honestly believe that this absurd dino improves the experience of staying at your out of date little resort, you’re dumber than I thought.

The PGA has done the right thing in leaving this venue and wherever it goes in the future, will be an improvement.

Practice doesn’t make perfect – it just ingrains bad habits.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Clive pulls something out of his hat at the last minute this week…..don’t have any intel but I’m going for something controversial.

......seems to be his style and I bet The PGA are holding their breaths and crossing their fingers!

NH I was thinking the same thing.
Who knows what he may do seems like a loose cannon.
Lets hope he remembers the tournament is about the players not him or his agenda.

the ratio of tournament running costs to prize money similar to most big tournaments.can get these costs way down per event when you have 25 tournaments and same infrastructure used week ater week..A shame to leave Coolum, Palmer in a world of his own.Let him fester with no mates in that little happy place, he has created for himself. So many friendly down to Earth locals, that have worked there as volunteers for 10 years and more. This is their highlight of the year.A real shame.Gold Coast another great venue. The PGA coming out of this looking like champs.

Not going there to stay there anymore, Gold Coast next year. Many golfers will boycott this hotel.

Wrecked a great resort and event. Hope next year it’s held at Royal Queensland, I think that would be a great venue, and would be in a central location between Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast, plus the Brisbane golfing public

I played the Pro am yesterday morning. I then had lunch and there were 3 or 4 Pros on the table at various stages talking about the tournament and their own game. The Pros couldn’t care less if there was the reported future 150 dinosaurs on the property or the painted signs on the fairways…..they just want to play to win some money and would play on the Hume Hwy if they had to and win some money. The Pro I played with actually asked me what all the fuss was about and who the owner was. He didn’t even know poor old Clives name let alone the dinosaurs and he’s Australian although not often in the country.
