Not for those of us without access to a TV at work.

I was out there today walking inside the ropes following Scott and Watson.

Watson still hits it damn good, awesome driver of the golf ball. My money was on Scott before today, but after seeing what he is putting with, it’s had to imagine that he’ll get it done this week. He is striping it though!

My tip is either Greg Chalmers to go back to back or Justin Rose.

Inside the ropes warching with Brad W, gooner?

Live Scoring on the internet is useless. It is displaying the Leaderboard for the 2011 Australian Open. You have to scroll down to see the 2012 Australian Open Leaderboard. Have already sent email to Golf Australia.

Nothing has changed when you have a amateur body running a professional tournament.

Robert Allenby on the 11th hitting out of the left wasteland, “definitely one of the worst courses I’ve ever played!”

Followed by awkward silence in the commentary box. Priceless.

Royal Eastlakes GC looks good in the background when viewed across the lakes.

Cheer up Robert, it could be worse! You could stuck in the office at work like the rest of us poor blokes…..

That’s priceless from Allenby, what’s that saying? Oh yeah a good workman never blames his tools…....just his surroundings lol

Hey Serg87,

You should have taken the day off like the rest of us he he

On another note, what’s peoples thoughts on the Lakes GC and the change from old to new???

I never had the pleasure to play the old Lakes but throughly enjoyed the new course.

I wish I could have booked it off. I’m off Monday instead though playing Cabramatta GC with friends 4 players with a cart plus a beer afterwards $90. Mint!

Great to see Tom Watson playing out here in the Open. I really hope he makes the cut as I’m going Saturday to watch and would love to see him play. Fingers Crossed!!!

Mad Golf Player

Hey Serg87,

Where did you find that deal for Cabramatta?

Tom,

I found it on Golf Link Deal s

The weather has definitely made the conditions much tougher for the afternoon starters.

It will be very interesting to see how the current leaders fair tomorrow with their late tee off times and start off the 1st tee.

Great to see Stuart Appleby & Mathew Goggin finnish at 2 under and Steven Jones going well after 10 holes.

Has anyone played Kangeroo Valley?

Allenby is starting to enjoy his round a little more after that Eagle on 14.

What a great first day of action, well played Senden

Emirates Australia Open
Pos. Country Player Name Total
1 John Senden -6
T2 Kim Felton -4
T2 Richard Green -4
T2 Gareth Paddison -4
T2 Justin Rose -4
T6 Stephen Allan -3

What a great effort from Richard Green one of the later starters. I wonder how this will look tomorrow with everybody changing times and starting from the first or tenth tees.

I have to say the golf course looked in wonderful condition, I can’t wait to get there on Saturday hopefully as I mentioned earlier Tom Watson will make the cut.

Would love to hear from anyone who went today to watch it live.

Good to see Steve Allan up there, has been on a rollercoaster since he won last time.

Not an uncommon view within the professional ranks.

Totally ignorant about almost everything except golf.

The man who hits at the ball rather than through it has no sense of rhythm.

And if he was stripping them down the middle on course for a 10 under score would his views be the same????

What a toss…...don’t go blaming the course for playing like a goose…..I haven’t seen the footage but missing it down the left handside on 11 there is a crap shot…....take it like a man Robby

Robbie is entitled to his opinion. No matter how wrong he might be. At least he is honest.
