Adam Scott is currently favourite to win this years event with Justin Rose and John Sendon close 2nd and 3rd favourites with bookies.

Could Adam Scott do the double and follow in the footsteps of Robert Allenby in 2005?

I was out there today walking inside the ropes following Scott and Watson.

Watson still hits it damn good, awesome driver of the golf ball. My money was on Scott before today, but after seeing what he is putting with, it’s had to imagine that he’ll get it done this week. He is striping it though!

My tip is either Greg Chalmers to go back to back or Justin Rose.

Channel 7 is broadcasting live midday to 1700 each of the four days of the tournament. I’m volunteering as a walking scorer, so will be there all four days. Can’t wait for the awesomeness.

I would like to ask what peoples thoughts are regarding this new rule change with the broom handle putter? I myself think its a terrible rule

None of these players use one so is it really effecting the game????

What’s your thoughts on the ban? Just to be clear I don’t use one and never have, I did try one once at a tournament on the practice putting green and to be honest not for me.

The opening hole is a very daunting experience too, water all down the left and bunkers and rubbish up the right. I know it’s a short hole with a somewhat large target to hit from the tee, but first tee swings are still challenging, the green is also a tricky endeavour.

But I have to agree with you TeamAllinbee the 2nd and 3rd are a different monster altogether!

Team Bowditch next year

Definitely a huge advantage teeing off early from the 10th. I played there last weekend and played the back 9 first. I found the water twice, didn’t hit the ball real well and finished with 20 points. Although, the front 9 took its toll as I came home with 13 points.

Can’t wait. I am glad it’s on FTA. Can’t see Scotty using that thing in the event. As was mentioned elsewhere on the net it’s actually a Scotty Cameron fitting tool for the long putter as such cant be used in competition. He’s obviously getting ahead of the curve and seeing what’s out there and what will work for him. He is one of the guys that will be least effected by the change I think. His stats from the last 2 years compared to before aren’t earth shatteringly better. Confidence thing I suspect.

I hope he wins and wins well. Agree the course is looking immaculate.

I must admit being an Englishman I would love to see Rose win but I would also love to see Scotty win.

To see him do the double would be such a lift for Australian golf.

Does anyone have the best idea to get the ticket?

The official website says buying a ticket on the spot will incur a 5 buck fee. Try to get it from Ticketek, but asking for extra (8 bucks: Ticket Delivery & Credit card fee).

Have used Ticketek several times. Always feel bad to pay that extra.

Why are they asking for the delivery fee when it is on-line one PDF file?

I’m thinking this is totally unacceptable.. Any thoughts?

Anything to squeeze an extra few cents out of the average punter. It’s criminal charging (anything) for a download. Puts me in mind of the fees the banks hit you up for when you use some-one else’s ATM.

Wow that’s very annoying indeed. How can they charge for someone walking up to the gate and purchasing a ticket….JOKE!

And don’t get me started on the ATMS out here, that’s a complete rip off you have to consider what bank you’re with when moving otherwise you always get stung…...

Backed two guys Sendon and Hancock one leading Sendon 4 under thru 6 starting on 10th.Hancock 1st tee start four bogies to open.Bottom 10 on leaderboard currently all teed off No1.Maybe smaller field one tee start, if they continue with this venue.

It’s an interesting point, there’s no doubt you’d rather start from the 10th than the 1st. They do start from the opposite side tomorrow but the damage may have already been done from the day before.

Super day out their though perfect weather conditions for scoring on all accounts. Great to see Rose doing well!!! What a fantastic 4 days we have ahead of us.
