6 Putts

Pretty cool. Wonder how many goes it took them to do it.

That’s very cool. Much cooler than the 6 putt I had on 14th at the Marsh one day.

I played with a mate once and after reaching the first green in 2 ended up 9 putting and carding an 11! Very amusing stuff for myself!!

That’s freaking awesome:). Think 4-putts is my worst…

Worst I have witnessed is a 5 putt. Technically not 5 “putts” but on a steep fast green in two, first putt off front of green, chip back onto green, rolls back off front, chip back on, knock it in for a 7.

I witnessed a great effort one day at Olinda. Stroke round, monthly medal, stroke/putting. A good player in my group was having a good day when we got to the 150m par 3 17th, gently uphill. The green was flat, but sloping back toward the tee. It was summer – stinking hot, dry, probably Feb. The green had been mown to a ‘brown’ and was as smooth as asphalt.

His tee shot missed the green but he was on in two. His putt missed the hole and stopped above it. Return putt missed and rolled all the way down to the front, but not off. He then proceeded to putt up and back. Sometimes his putt would roll around the back of the hole and return again to the front of the green. His frustration grew with every miss. I got him to take a break so he could calm down while I one-putted for a ‘two’. He finally got it in after 11 putts. Completely destroyed his round.

Always been told the easiest shot in golf was the 5th putt, now maybe the 6th putt is the easiest shot??
