I did join this site because of this thread ill admit that. And I’m sure if you

2. Been thrown under the bus in this book you would also have the same view I have.
Myself and many others (a handful to whom I have spoken with) have been written about in this book in a way were the truth has been distorted, crucial facts left out, lies have been told and always EWAN PORTER is the victim. I have spoken to a few people including myself who r looking into what action can be taken. Am I filthy yes absolutely. Write a book about your experiences is fine but u can’t write a book with incidents about other people without getting their consent. Also I thort the publisher would do some fact checking or maybe like many people on here the publisher took EWAN PORTERS word that this book was all true. I’m done here and have broken my rule TRR only a fool argues with a fool.

No, not at all mate. I welcome differing opinions, including that one. It’s easy to distinguish an online bully or a troll from someone who’s merely passionate about a topic. But I know that you know that. ;) There have been a two or three with not so hidden agendas that have tried to take over this thread. It’s gone from a discussion thread to an out and out attack on him.

I don’t know Ewan Porter from a bar of soap but I’m interested in his anecdotes about life as a touring pro. By its very nature an autobiography is the author’s version of his/her experiences. Versions can be wrong. Versions can be right. Versions can be at odds with that of others. But Ewan Porter didn’t invent the autobiography, so I think some of the flaming has been a more than unfair.

If some have an issue with the veracity of Ewan Porter’s revelations as it relates to them, they can exercise their legal rights and sue him for defamation. But it’s a bit rich to crap all over this thread because of a personal agenda. There are some who are interested in what Ewan has to say. Me included.

As for the Cessnock incident how is this ‘irrelevant’ to the book when you have written it in your book. You make out in the book you were unlucky (which u always seem to be unlucky) that the golf pro was coming back from lunch and saw you.
I am a year or two younger than you and I saw this incident with my own eyes and for you to claim the truth is that it was an accident due to and upslope, wet grass and a rookie driver is 100% a lie.

As for driving the cart to subway u imply that you were caught because being unlucky again the superintendent happen to be eating there at the time. I did not witness this event obviously but u know this is not completely the truth.

Well, let’s look at your case in point. You have a version that is different from that of EP’s and because of that, his version is a lie. Wrong. All you have are conflicting versions.

Next proposition. You challenge EP’s version of an incident as “not completely the truth” but you admit you did not witness it. Words fail me on that one.

Then there’s the Ping and Reebok slur. An insinuation that EP has acted less than honourably with those companies. No detail. Just an insinuation.

The “unmasking” comment is nothing more than a wooden promise. It’ll never happen. You know that. But it’s irrelevant anyway.

Then finishing off the diatribe with a slur that persons who believe EP’s version are “naive”. Then departing with yet another claim that his account is untrue.

Just a series of broad brush propositions, slurs and unsupported claims.

If you’re going to make a claim, at least provide supporting evidence or a reasoned argument. It’s not too much to ask …

I doubt it’s Polias…....the only mention in the book about him was the subway episode at Bonnie Doon….....plus NIcks concentrating on his poker now so I doubt he’s on a golf site.

Have read the book – whilst my opinion is mixed on the content, what I would say is if you paid an editor to edit the book get a refund. Found a few spelling errors and punctuality errors. Might be a little thing but when people are paying to read your writing it needs to be correct in order to get people to keep reading your material in the future…

I think people need to calm down and stop throwing mud at each other.
