Pot calling the kettle black with that profile photo mate?

It’s a good read. A little self centred in places, but mostly enjoyable. Good luck with it all Ewan.

Bought your book last night EP, currently about a quarter of the way through. Not a bad read.

Quick question. How did it come to be that Ian Poulter tweeted a plug for the book? Do you know him a bit? Did you just ask him to do it in the locker room at the Masters?

If I could have any professional golfer’s name and any professional golfer’s hair, I would have Robert Rock’s name and Robert Rock’s hair.

Thanks BGH,

I wasn’t aware Poults tweeted about my book. I know GMac did a couple of times after I spoke to him about it.

@chipshot, Would love to know what you find self-centred about it? These are simply my stories, attempting to put the reader through the emotional rollercoaster we endure and to also educate those who aren’t aware of our ups and downs on the road.

Spent the arvo at work yesterday reading the entire book. Great read! One of the more honest and enjoyable sports reads i’ve read of late.

PGA member your story is a good story because there has been constant drama in your life.

A famous TV producer in Hollywood once said there is little or no drama in happiness.

Play it as it lies, get on with it, its not life or death, its just a game!

Thank you for the support guys.

Maybe it would make a decent Hollywood film?

Just need the happy ending (pardon the pun)

The first post was a nice little abrasive number. The accusation of playing around with Kaymer’s “missus” was a disgrace.

How was it a disgrace? Have you even read the book? I’m not the only one who drew that conclusion.

pgamember, I came across a nice little promo for your book on Aussie Golfer. Reads well.

I’m ripped and proud.

You wouldn’t know it based on the number of posters falling over themselves to declare their admiration for pgamember!

Get your hand off it Son and pi$$ off elsewhere. I have no time for people that just like to knock down tall poppies…

Who would you cast as yourself?

Yossarian Number 5 with the buff body is the logical choice to be cast as Mr Porter.

Play it as it lies, get on with it, its not life or death, its just a game!

How good are my abs. Seriously.

Seriously, your abs are just like a washboard.

Play it as it lies, get on with it, its not life or death, its just a game!

@TTR,

I read that review this evening, was very nice of them.

Very happy with all the positive reviews so far.

pgamember,

Who has the best abs on tour?

This book is a joke. It’s story’s told in part truths and always making out ‘the author’ to be the victim or he made an immature mistake. The author has no regrets or remorse and is self indulgent and wants nothing more than his name in lights as his golf career is dead. I’m aware of several people looking into legal action over somethings written in this book which are completely false or fabricated in his own mind. The author should crawl back into the hole from where he came. This book should be found under fiction.

Guess they’re not all positive then!

this could get interesting !

My only response to MaxxOn is that I have given my first hand account of the emotional rollercoaster professional golfers endure. The public don’t get to hear about everything that happens off the golf course and my goal is to educate those who aren’t aware and to help aspiring professionals learn about the potential forks in the road.

Yes, there’s fun and silly times to be had but also a hell of a lot of sacrifice and frustration.

I’ll take back my earlier comment about all reviews being very positive thus far. I’m sorry MaxxOn that you can’t see the message behind it all. Others have so maybe it’s worth another read.

I find it hilarious how a bloke writes a book on HIS life and HIS experiences, and gets accused of self indulgent!! Hahahahaha

Some people really are that stupid aren’t they!!!

What did you really expect to read about in a book written by Ewan Porter, about Ewan Porter??

grooveless, the only way to play golf……

now a ’groove-snob’, and never going back!! :)

Pgamember
Haven’t read your book still under consideration. Some of the stories circulating about you as a junior (if they are true) make me wonder if you were not an accident waiting to happen on the professional tour. An example is the cart incident at the Jack Newton Junior Classic.

Totally ignorant about almost everything except golf.
