Anybody else watched this guy play the back nine looking like he could collapse with a heart attack or something at any moment?

What a performance. I hope he has a good weekend and gets his card next year because he is really working for it.

Yep, watched it to the death. Reminded me of when Ken Venturi won his US Open title suffering from heat stroke. Charlie has good technique unlike Geaney. Did you see Geaney’s interview? I luv the guy. Wish they would focus the camera more on Tommy.:)

Totally ignorant about almost everything except golf.

Classic interview. Got his stats wrong – you could see how unhappy he was with how he played. He still played under the card though so hardly terrible!

It’s a violent action that swing. I like it. Gives me the confidence to play ugly but consistent!

I guess when one shoots a 60, shooting 71 would seem a shit score. His swing looks violent because he has no lateral movement in his lower body. He sets his hips at address, keeps that set and uses upper body action.

Yeah – perspective is everything

The man who hits at the ball rather than through it has no sense of rhythm.

Not a swing that promotes consistency Razaar?

My guess is he has to practice an awful lot to play as good as he does more so than a player with a more conventional action. Maybe that is the reason he uses a glove on both hands.

As he was struggling through the back 9, I was expecting him to fall apart at some stage. Mercifully he only had 2 bogies & managed to par on 18.

Old baseball habit apparently, Raz.

Used to play ball and once he started golf, thought he should have a glove on both hand like when he was batting in baseball.

That’s the story I heard, anyway.

“If God didn’t want us to eat animals, why did he make them out of meat?”

I read the same story on the Golf Channel, Yarnie. If he did play baseball, then he mustn’t have been a batter in b/b. Good batters step into the ball with lateral movement as do pitchers. Can’t see any of that in Tommy’s swing. I get a sore back watching it. But I would rather watch him than the technically correct golf swings on tour.

He’s exciting. Like watching idiots like me make a swing and hitting a good one.

Pure.

After Lance Armstrong , probably just wanted to meet some nurses.
