Off and running for another season got myself a round in on the 1st of march, with Southern Ports final round not that good score wise but still fun to be involved in the competition. Not easy for me to get rounds in the Lexus Cup in 2012. Most of my home club rounds did not have playing fields with enough golfers in them to count last year. this year the rules have changed which is great, “Is there a minimum number of players required before a club competition can count towards the Lexus Cup? Yes. Because the points system is based on an average of total scores, to avoid any unfair anomalies the Lexus Cup requires a club competition of at least seven men or seven women to be considered eligible. These players do not all have to be registered to play in the Lexus Cup. No Score Not Approved (NCR), No Score Approved, Disqualified (DQ) or Ad Hoc scores do not count towards a players’ six (6) rounds.”

Was looking at doing a suicide bombers course after the last few weekends and finally got myself a positive score 2000 plus, was into minus 10,000 for a while. Do enjoy the Lexus Cup idea and that it is based upon club competition results does give it credibility.
