I received the ball in good order today…thanks to GPJ, although I was a little nervous to see how the ball actually arrived at my place – I didn’t know it was this important!! – a photo from my front door:

Upon opening the package, I found this inside:

Ball in dress

I didn’t realise the ball was female!! ;) :O…this could be a problem as I don’t hit women!! :O :)

That’s gold.

Seriously now…I have given the ball its first practise hit out on a very exclusively private, par 3 golf hole…..the one in my backyard (Royal Curra Heights Country Club).

I made two pars on the two different hole locations. I did have to get up and down out of the small pot bunker for the 2nd hole location…I knocked it to less than a foot. ;) :)

Bunker shot

(Phew!! Saved par from the sand ^)

This is the “green” at my place…for some reason it didn’t load last post.

Golf green

Very dry at the moment thanks to little rain here in SE Qld lately…and quick when playing downhill!!

Jealous!

And funny shot with the dress!

Nice to see you havin some fun with it GM.

FYI …....... it likes to see the sights while on it’s journey around the globe, and take the odd break from its serious golfing committments.

(While it was with me the first time, it enjoyed touring our capital city and landmarks, and just getting out and about)

Just remember ...... What happens on tour …..... gets posted up on here.

Good luck with it.

Ok…I’ve just had the first official hit with the LTB. I played a quick nine holes at the 18 hole, Gunabul Homestead Par 3 Golf Course here in Gympie Queensland, and used the LTB on 4 holes. Scores as follows:

Hole 10 – 3
Hole 12 – 2
Hole 14 – 3
Hole 15 – 3

A bogey free start for the LTB’s latest journey here in Qld…I can’t promise that will continue at Pacific Harbour on Sunday.

I will post some pics and video later on this evening or tomorrow morning when I get more time. :)

Do you have scuba gear ready for Sunday?

No, lol…I am playing the safest par 3 on the course – no major water hazard near the green, plus the hole will only be about 120 – 125m or so from where I’ll be teeing off, and I don’t duck hook or push slice my pitching wedge!! ;) :)

The ball’s first course in the Gympie region in Qld:

Gunabul sign

This was the first hole played at Gunabul Homestead with the LTB – the 10th – a par 3 of about 120m…with a severe elevation drop. An easy two putt par from about 25 feet:

Gunabul 10th

The second hole played was the 12th – 105m par 3…another decent elevation drop….knocked it to about 12 feet or so, and then drained the birdie putt – I do have video of this, but it is not loading or is slow to load at the moment. :( -

12th

The third hole – the 14th…about 120m long…another two putt par

14th

The fourth and final hole played at Gunabul Homestead – the 15th…approx 102m…this was supposed to be my birdie hole, but they had the pin tucked on the smallish top tier of this green and I pussy footed around with the sand wedge shot as it’s dangerous to go long here (and I was told I am not allowed to beat Stink’s score of 6) and so, I came up about 20 feet short and to the left…still a fairly simple two putt par. (The pic is zoomed in)

15th

Is it me but I see water on 10, 12 and 14. Granted it’s short of the green but still a chance if you “duff” the tee shot. You must be a good golfer (or confident in your ability), Golfermaniac to even take a chance with water in view???

He is single digit I think.
Although the 14th does look risky !

I have no official handicap anymore, but my last one was 2. (average about 4 and a half to 5 over par for 18 these days) ;) :)...the water you can see in those pics is no where near in play for me, despite how it looks…if I had hit my wedges into any of those water holes, I would’ve drowned my own ass for it!! ;) :O :)

Former regular golfer

I did shoot a 2 under 25 for the nine par 3s on this day if that appeases you folks lol. ;) :)

Pacific Harbour for the LTB tomorrow morning…I am going to play the safest par 3 I can find – the 4th hole at approx. 130m or so…no major water in sight, although I hope I don’t pull hook a 9 iron or pitching wedge!! ;) :O

About 50m long that bunker!!...of course most of it won’t be in play…I’m hoping none of it will be in play personally, lol. ;) :)

Trust me madam…it’s arguably the safest hole at Pacific Harbour, with very little chance of losing the ball in scrub and/or water!! ;) :)
