How gutted must he be that he still left one out there by scoring a bogey. ;) Probably as gutted as Usain Bolt for only breaking Michaels Johnson world 200m record by 2/100ths of a second. ;)

What a great round! I remember the first and only time I had a round under par and was 3 under coming down the last. A very nervous pull hook off the tee into the tree’s, a nice recovery to the green side trap, an easy bunker shot and then a 3 putt! Still shot 1 under and was over the moon though. I can’t imagine what it is like to have such a low round and not choke like I did when I had my 1 under. I am sure the guy is on cloud nine as a result. I think I would give up golf if I had a 13 under par round and take up another game! AMAZING STUFF.

i would love to see his card, how many 3’s do you reckon he had? was his bogey on a par 3 or par 5. awesome round. not many ever shoot 59.

His only bogey came on the par 3 7th hole. Although there is quite a bit of run on the fairways at present and yesterday was without any wind it was an astonishing effort .The greens were pretty quick and
2 of the par 4’s he birdied are over 400 mtrs. The 2 nd green where he sank his last 20-25 foot putt is in dreadful condition and I have
no idea how he managed this. It was a shotgun start and he’d tee’d off on the 3rd hole btw.

Yes Have Clubs that was the reason we altered the original press release sent out by the PGA. I felt it have overlooked Brad’s effort.

I understand what they were saying in that it was the best in relation to par but perhaps that should have been made clearer and Brad’s effort mentioned. His of course was on a par 71 layout but his was still the first round of 59 in a recognised event in Australia as such.

I didn’t read the link because i had read an article in the print media during the week saying that it was a first. I was pretty sure he had 59 in the last year or so.

I think he has a good future.
