I dare say many of you would have already seen this video of Tiger’s swing in slow motion but I’ll post it anyway (it looks way better in a small window… it gets too pixelated otherwise).

It’s certainly very pretty to look at—I just wish they’d put the whole thing up from the front. I’d love to be able to see the full range of motion.

I was down at Royal Pines for the most recent Ladies Masters. We got to see every player Teeing off and then most of them finish at the 18th. I’ve gotta say the most amazing swing I’ve ever seen belongs to Amy Yang. It’s a thing of beauty! So fluid, fluent and smooth. It looks completely effortless. I’ve looked everywhere I know of for a video of it, but I guess she’s not high profile enough to get much coverage. My wife and I were left slackjawed, mouth’s agape after she hit off. If I ever find a geenie bottle her swing costs me 1 wish!

I don;t get these forum thingys – so excuse me if i’m replying to the wrong message (this is my first forum response).

I had the privilege of attending the Lexus Cup in Perth last Dec…and to see the girls ‘in the flesh’ was quite a thrill. nice and smooth, and their swings weren’t bad either. The international team, to be honest were a tad arrogant and did’nt take things too seriously, and that’s why they lost. I was following the whole lead up in Golf Magazine, and decided to buy myself a ticket to WA – it was well worth it. it’s nice to know you can get a whole lot closer to the girls than the guys at major tournaments – and that’s a shame.

Just found this vid of Tiger’s full swing on YouTube… gee I’d love to be able to swing a club like that.

The ball coming off the club face is also pretty interesting—I didn’t realise the ball got that squished (and have a look how little spin he imparts on it, too).

I don’t really remember how her length compared to the longest of hitters, but she was right down the middle of the 1st fairway. She was certainly not a short driver though.

Now that you mention it, he doesn’t. But he still gets very clean contact with the ball (as you’d expect!) from pretty high on the clubface.

so precise… but in the swing vision one he tees up above the ball???

The first video I linked to (at the top of the page) is one of Tiger’s swing portrait ones, just on Google video instead of the NIke site. The others they’ve got at Nike with commentary are gold.
