My son and I are members of a golf course in Brisbane called Pacific earlier this month we were playing a single stableford event . We got to the 4th hole 360mt par 4 index 3 on the card. We both hit our drives down the middle of the fairway the other two guys played their drives into the trees . So they were the first to play their 2nd shots which they did short of the green. I went to my ball and from 130mts hold a 8 iron for a 2 and 5points, the very next shot my son hold a gap wedge from 100mts for 2 and also 5 pts . The other two guys chipped oto the green and made the putts for a 4 and 3 points each. Giving the group a total of 16points on the hole .

Congrats guys, remind me not to ever bet against you on the course! 8)

Cheers
Brett

something similar for me a few years back
on a par 3 about 130m
I hit 1st and put the ball about 30cm from the hole
the next guy put it straight in the hole for a hole in one
after all the handshakes etc the 3rd guy top his shot about 5m off the tee….walked up to the ball with the same club hit it sweetly into the hole for a birdie 2
i walked up and dropped my putt for the birdie
so we had
one ace and two birdies on the hole

I dont think i will see that again but nice to be part of it

I was in a group that all shot over 10 on a par 3 – is that good

Good things happen to good people

I’ve holed out from 70m+ twice. One was 70m and the other was 125m. To have it happen on the same hole twice in the one group is freaky. How did you and your son go for the rest of the round?

when i played in townsville i only ever had two eagles, both on the same par four. i’m a lefty, but its a dogleg right. about 210 metres to the bend then about 150 to the green over a “lake” that looks like a sewage treatment plant. anyways, both times i topped a 3 wood off the tee, and it ran about 175-180 metres. I’ve proceeded to hit a six iron (which for some reason i used to always struggle with) over the trees, cutting the corner and landing in the heart of the green rolling in for a two. Even more bazaar is that i did it playing with the same group of people two weeks in a row!!!!!

There's no spot on the card to write HOW you did it....

That is just freaky!!!

Playing in a 3 ball we teed off on a 136m par 3. We literally surrounded the cup with the furtherest ball 46cm away. Oh yes, we all made the putts. Pity about the hole in one !

Which course was that & what hole?.My home town.

A bad day on the golf course is better than no golf at all. :(

No one who ever had a lesson would have a swing like mine

my son went on to make 5 birdies and two eagles and 5 schrubs for 38pts and I went on to have 2 birdies and 1 eagle for 41pts and won the day
Sorry for the delay in replying …..been away

OK OK this is great …BUT … 5 5 4 + 3 = 17 (not 16).. except if u r playing ambrose on a corporate day. It was probably a typo that should have read 4 a 3 each for the other 2. But someone has to be picky (and jealous)

These stories are of the have to be seen to be believed type. Amazing guys!!! You son must hit the ball alright hijacked? 2 eagles in a day is fair going!

Anyone selling Titleist 735CM ???

My dad holed out for eagle 2 on consecutive weeks on the 18th at our home course.

18 is a hard hole, good accurate drive and then a good second shot which is long. When he holed out he used Driver, 1-iron both times.

In a pro tournament at another local course, all 3 pro’s made eagle on the first a par 5 making them 6 under collectively after 1 hole.

I like the one about the bloke playing at Kogarah golf club in sydney who started his scorecard 5,4,3,2,1 for the first 5 holes.

yes he does play better than his 7 h/cap and believe it or not lipped out for another eagle on one of the birdies.
