Who's The Biggest Tosser in Golf?

Rory gets my vote, followed closely by Monty (In his heyday), Duval in his heyday, and DiMarco is particularly annoying when he gets his fist-pump going after making Par on the 1st hole of the first round of the John Deere Classic. Who’s your vote for biggest tosspot in golf?
|
|
Monty. Hands down. Daylight second. Consistent contributions in the category of “surly fat bastard”. Any nominations for highly placed Aussies?

The U.S. Ryder Cup team. And their wives and girlfriends. Who was that US amateur a few years ago with a surname starting with G – he and his old man on the bag loved the hi-fivin’ action. Wankers.

rory is a dude leave him alone..biggest tossers are the god botherers baddeley , lehman , zach johnson etc.
C’mon guys enough is enough…..time to let the king log back in! |

Would have to say Robert Allenby just dont really like him and that Dodo add he was in what a shocker. prob end up being a top bloke if i met him but.
Man up and go for it |
|
Have to agree about Allenby. Nah just peeved with his poor performance in Rd 1 of The Barclays after I picked him as my preferred Ozzie. The add was a shocker though.
The key to success is to learn to do something right, then do it right every time. Oh I wish….. |

I believe Stephen Leaney is right up there.

Not sure we can blame Robert for the quality of a Dodo ad, I don’t think anyone has ever managed to pull off one of those with dignity intact. What about Mark Hensby – used to think he was the classic rags to riches fairy tale, until he started mouthing off at Norman etc. Now where is he? Ranked 384 in the world, best finish this year was T12 at a nothing event.

I think if you grouped Badds and Daly together, there may be a few differences. Personally, I would rather watch/have a hit and sit down with Daly for a beer (or a diet coke). It would be a blast! Badds would take you to church or pray on the last green and let the world know it. Daly has made some mistakes as we all do but people made money off him for those mistakes. Thing is, he has won majors and Badds is zero in this catergory. I won’t say Badds is a tosser, just “different”...
You are kidding yourself if you think you can make it without hard-work. |

Interesting topic! Rory gets a vote from me but I can’t really justify it. He’s just one of a massive bunch of cocky young fellers who haven’t really done that much on tour. Those Popeye cheeks are distracting too! I think he got the players’ vote for worst playing partner in a recent poll of PGA players also. Sergio gets a nod too – exciting player but behaves like a spoiled brat at times, it’s never his fault when he has a bad round (or spits in the cup – he made sure it was in the middle so it wasn’t going to affect anyone else!)...just my 2 cents.

On a slightly related matter, is it just me or is Luke Donald looking more and more like Monty? Seems like a good bloke though.
|
|
Catweazle, have you check out Rory’s results over the past say 6 years on US PGA tour website with regards to prizemoney/finishes? It surprised me.

Yeah – I like Rory, about time someone had some balls and a bit of character. He and Sergio are top to watch… HOW GOOD is Rory’s pitching and chipping. BTW: Rory and Tiger a good mates according to Faldo
|
|
Tai, you are absolutely correct. I had a look at Rory’s stats soon after posting and his record is very solid, compares very favorably to many more popular players. My memory was deceiving me and I guess I was just fishing for reasons as to why he does seem to be such a divisive character. If he is a bit cocky he probably deserves to be. So make it 2 votes for Sergio and thanks for picking me up!
|
|
And Virge, I love watching Sergio, just as I love watching Shane Warne , Jason Akermanis, etc – the ‘tosser factor’ doesn’t make them any less as players.

What about Jill (man boobs) Prickleson? I can’t wait to see the President’s cup, god I hope he chokes! That fake grin of his drives me bannanas!
Billy Dunk is my hero… |

If you’re referring to Mickelson, hear hear. My kids know that if he ever appears on the screen, that it’s time to snigger and laugh. We all just call him “Fat Boy”.
